I bought this pattern specifically to make different back to school shirts. So far 2 are done, but only 1 picture. I do love this pattern and see it being used in many different ways. The panel is from Raspberry Creek Fabrics - my Granddaughter is a reading fanatic. Unfortunately, I was a little late for this to be ready for her first day back to school.
I have made the Laurent as a hooding and T-shirt for my husband, and made a cropped hoodie for me. It is an easy pattern to sew, and I have been able to use some remnant fabric for my version. My husband is returning to university classes as a retiree, and wanted something relaxed and more coordinated to wear. I usually make some items for my neighbourhood kids for the fall and these tops will be a hit!
I have made several of these shirts for my son and the fit is absolutely perfect. The neckline, shoulders, everything, fit like it was drafted specifically for him. Every shirt I make with this pattern looks fantastic.
