I have made these in men’s and boys sizes and both were spot on, I did hack the liner with Gerard instead of liner included.

I made these for my husband. The directions are pretty straightforward and I used both my serger and regular sewing machine to undertake this. I had a problem with inserting the elastic at step 34 after the lining was attached to the shorts. I think that it would have been easier to insert the elastic before step 33. It would still mean stretching the shorts and elastic to fasten in the lining but likely easier than trying to sew up the opening in the waist band with the lining, waist band (2 layers) and the shorts. I found it very challenging to catch all these layers and basted by hand first to try to close the gap. That was the only challenge in this pattern. They look nice and my husband is pleased with them
