First time sewing for my husband and he requested a base layer with some Polartec Power Grid. I took his measurements and then sized down 2 letters. It fits him nicely, but for a base layer, it could have still been a bit more snug; however, the Power Grid has a lot of stretch and with a material with less stretchy, the sizing down 2 letters may have been a perfect fit for a base layer. The Jalie was a very easy sew. Instructions were clear and easy to follow. My husband has rounded shoulders, so a raglan may not have been the best choice for him as there was a lot of pull under the arms; however, he did not feel it was too small and he said it was very comfortable.

The pattern is very easy to follow. What I like about it is that the seams are already calculated in the pattern. I made the short-sleeved T-shirt for my boyfriend and it looks great!
