An utter hit with my toddler ballerina—I picked this pattern because I thought it would grow with her better than many others. I’ve made 3 now, backs A and B, all sleeveless, in various performance or metallic knits. In sizes equivalent to 2T and 3T you can squeeze the sleeveless versions out of a quarter of a yard.
I love this pattern. My daughter likes the back with the circle and clip (B). I make this sleeveless. The only problem like a few others have said, the armholes on this style tend to be snug and almost like a cap sleeve. Simple back (A) does not have this problem. The armholes are wider. I've made B sleeveless for a team of 5 girls and 3 complained about the armhole cutting into their armpit. It is a nightmare unpicking the thread and adjusting. However I love this pattern. I just need to get better at adjusting..
Très facile à utiliser, ce modèle permets de faire des dizaines de maillots différents selon sa propre imagination. J'élargis un peu aux fesses car mes gymnastes se plaignaient du fait qu'il rentrait entre les fesses.
I use this as a basic pattern to make adjustments. For Synchronised swimming, I always do it sleeveless, so adjust the armhole to make it a bit bigger. I also raise the leg because they need a higher leg. But I love this pattern because it is so versatile and easy to make changes to . And it always fits perfectly.
I absolutely love this pattern - I have been using it for many years to create leos for our competition trampoline team. I have adjusted it in a few ways to better suit the girls and the design, and it has always fit wonderfully.
