Classic Pyjama Set
Wonderful sewing pattern for making pajamas. This PDF pattern includes long pajama bottoms and a long-sleeved pajama top.
The pajama top pattern is a classic button-front shirt with a notch collar and chest pocket. The full-length pants have a drawstring (or ribbon) front and an elastic back waist, the best of both worlds! The comfort of an elastic waist, without the bulk.
Side slits and optional contrast piping give it a stylish finish. Make it for boys or girls and use a soft flannel or elegant satin for the ultimate pyjama set you will want to wear all day.

I was very happy with this pattern. Found it to be easy to follow and very flattering. I made 8 pairs for gifts over the holidays ranging in sizes from child's 10, and adults in 8, 10 and 12! I had to make myself a pair too. This will definitely be my go to PJ pattern from now on!
Thank you!
I enjoyed making these pj pants (I did not make the top). In both pairs I made, the back elastic was too big and I had to reopen the back to shorten the elastic. But the design is lovely, with a flat front, and not as puffy as the other patterns out there. Next time I think I will add drawstrings in the front (instead of a small bow) so that the pant can be tightened in the front if the elastic is a little too big. I just skipped the ribbon and button holes altogether and I regretted that!
This pajama pattern provides all the classic tailoring details: piping, pocket, elasticized waist with ribbon and slits for ease at ankle. Instructions were clear and the results were a big hit!
