CHARLIE Bomber Jacket
Bomber jacket for stable knits or stretch woven with zipper at front, ribbing collar, cuffs and waistband. Pocket with single welt made of pocket fabric and forward shoulder seam.
To get a perfect fit on the zipper, you will most probably have to shorten it (because our length increments are not 5 cm / 2'' like zippers are). If you cannot find zipper stops at your local store, you can easily find some online:
Print at home (A4 / US Letter): 21 pages
This pattern is about to become my go-to for bomber jackets. Using paper pattern
Pros: Great welt pocket instructions, Massive sizing options, Measurement data is excellent Clear sectional instructions. This clearly a very flexible pattern. Terrific value
Cons: A bit tricky following order of construction. Minor issue could easily be fixed by marking each assembly section with sequential letters or numbers.
Amazing pattern and so simple with the video!!! Thank you for your step by step instructions! My grand daughter loves her quilted bomber jacket! Her older sister wants one too!!
Very happy with how this pattern went together. It is a polar fleece jacket for my grand-daughter. She loves it and it is just a lovely squishy layer for our upcoming winter.
I sewed my first lined jacket! This is the perfect pattern to level up one’s sewing skills since there’s not much fitting to do. Shortening the sleeves is the only alteration I needed, I chose my size based upon my bust measurement. The only thing I did different for the lining was add a pleat at center back for mobility since I used a non-stretch lining fabric. I encourage anyone who can sew a t-shirt or sweatshirt and is willing for more of a challenge to give this pattern a try.
