My favorite Jalie pants is the ISABELLE Leggings and Skating Pants so when I saw these I knew they would be great! I really like the flare leg style.
I have always loved the foldover waist pants but never felt secure with them on. This ingenious method to sew the foldover waist with secure elastic allows me to enjoy the style without the need to worry my pants are slidding down. The waistband is the perfect size to use up small chunks of material too! This pattern will get a lot of use!
Comme toujours, j'adore les patrons Jalie car ces patrons me permettent de combler mes besoins ainsi que ceux de mes petits-enfants.
Ils sont faciles à réaliser, s'ajustent facilement et bien expliqués.
I purchased this pattern to create during our annual Spring Retreat. The fabric was in a black scuba format. The pattern fitted great, I lengthened the legs by 2 inches and the crotch by 1/2 inch. I sewed the main parts on the serger and the elastic with the sewing machine.
The fit is fantastic and the pattern easy to follow. I have purchased more scuba fabric in a soft sage green and so looking forward to creating another pair!
Made these for my 2 year old and 4 year old granddaughters and, yes, the fit was perfect after following the pattern size recommended for their measurements. The style proportions are perfect for their sizes with the softly folded waist and slightly flared bottoms. After I had cut out the pattern pieces, it took just under two hours to complete both pairs of pants following the video instructions on YouTube. The only instruction that I changed was that I sewed the side seams, then the hem and then the inside seams (in that order) so that I could coverstitch the hems on the flat instead of waiting till after both side seams and inseams were sewn before hemming in the round at the bottom. Their sizes are so small that I thought it would be easier and neater to hem that way.
Love these pants....I drafted a straight leg. Just one change....add more length to legs. My go to pant pattern.
