Workhorse pattern
An utter hit with my toddler ballerina—I picked this pattern because I thought it would grow with her better than many others. I’ve made 3 now, backs A and B, all sleeveless, in various performance or metallic knits. In sizes equivalent to 2T and 3T you can squeeze the sleeveless versions out of a quarter of a yard.

Many options
I love this pattern. My daughter likes the back with the circle and clip (B). I make this sleeveless. The only problem like a few others have said, the armholes on this style tend to be snug and almost like a cap sleeve. Simple back (A) does not have this problem. The armholes are wider. I've made B sleeveless for a team of 5 girls and 3 complained about the armhole cutting into their armpit. It is a nightmare unpicking the thread and adjusting. However I love this pattern. I just need to get better at adjusting..

Great basic pattern
I use this as a basic pattern to make adjustments. For Synchronised swimming, I always do it sleeveless, so adjust the armhole to make it a bit bigger. I also raise the leg because they need a higher leg. But I love this pattern because it is so versatile and easy to make changes to . And it always fits perfectly.

Excellent Pattern
I absolutely love this pattern - I have been using it for many years to create leos for our competition trampoline team. I have adjusted it in a few ways to better suit the girls and the design, and it has always fit wonderfully.

Runs too small
I used this pattern to make 4 different leotards and 2 ice skating dress, unfortunately every time is was 2" shorter in torso than it needs to be, I think my pattern is not printed right, I have a lot of different Jalie patterns and this is the only one that runs too small :(
Very disappointed, I love all the variation of this one

Very versatile!
Made the basic leotard with the standard keyhole opening, then added a skirt and puffy sleeves for one dance costume. Used View C, but separated the top and bottom and added a relatively short, flowing skirt for a completely different look for an acro duet. Fit was great and sizes were true. Love the choices and variations all combined in one pattern. Definitely will use it again.

Nice fit
I made the sleeveless A leotard. It fits my daughter beautifully. The only issue I had was the guide for cutting the elastic for the arm holes; I ended having to increase the length by about 2 inches to fit my gymnast properly.

nice fit, seat rides up.
My customers say the fit is good, but it rides up in the back. I have been using less elastic (knit) and using a 1:1 ratio in the front of the leg opening and stretching quite a bit in the rear.

I have used this leotard pattern about 15 times, about half of them I followed the pattern exactly and the other half I made alterations. Pattern paper is great for when you want to trace the patterns, I don't even need to pin the tracing fabric to the paper! The instructions are easy to follow too. I have done my research and Jalie is the best for gymnastics patterns, I also have 3138 which I love too! I would definitely recommend to anyone!

over and over again!
I have made this leotard about 10 times now. I have successfully adapted the pattern to have swashes of colour across the centre, removed the join across the middle, added a line of contrasting fabric across the middle - all sorts of things. In fact I don't think I've ever made it as shown. Its a really great pattern to work with. The instructions are clear, and with the multisize, I'll be making it for years to come. Thanks for a really great pattern!

Excellent pattern!!
I love this pattern! It is the first I have used from Jalie but certainly won't be the last. Wonderful thick paper, very clear instructions and fantastic fit! Worth the wait in shipping to Australia.

great quality
I love this pattern, I use it to make synchronized swim suits. I've used 5 or 6 other suit patterns prior to buying this one, but now this is the only one I use. Clear instructions and nice heavy paper, so it can be used again and again.

great pattern, easy to use
This Jalie pattern has been the best leotard pattern that I have purchased. It is easy to use and a good basic design that can be adapted to create many different looks. It has a good fit, especially around the rear area where good coverage and fit is necessary. It was well worth the cost because it is a good quality pattern that I continue to use over and over again.
