The pants and shorts in this pattern are a great lounge around the house set. The fit is spot on with my usual Jalie size and I like the longer length included for the pants because when I sit down they are still full length - I like long and I have long legs.

I did the casing different than the instructions because I wanted it hidden inside the waistband, not just inside the pants. I therefore didn't need to encase the raw edges when sewing the casing to the inside of the waistband and didn't need the extra buttonholes. I sewed it flat to the waistband, ran my cording through and out the eyelets, then stitched the short ends/center seam. I folded wrong sides together, hiding the casing, and stitched it to the pants.

I'm not sure why it took so long to buy this pattern and make these yoga pants. I hate that all the ready to wear pants are now all high waisted, so I was so happy to make these and have them turn out perfectly on the first go. Full disclosure, I did not add the draw string tie. Instead, I just sewed in 1.5 inch elastic to the inside of the waist band so they are regular flat front yoga pants. I have a short rise, so they are not as low cut on me as they look in the photos. I'm between sizes on the Jalie size chart, but based on other reviews, I went with the larger size instead of going in between and they fit great.

I'm beyond thrilled to have purchased this pattern. I've made TWO pairs of these beautiful lounge pants and plan to make several more. They look and feel great. If you haven't made these pants, you're missing out. I love this pattern so much!

I have used the pants pattern twice and I have been happy with it. The fit is very true to how you see it on the pattern envelope. I shorted the length the second time to make capris.

I love this pattern both for myself and my 6 year old daughter. Sizing is perfect right off the chart with no alterations (other than in length) required during finishing. I have yet to sew a Jalie pattern that I did not like. I make this one over and over again.
