Love this Bathing Suit Pattern

I love this bathing suit pattern! I have made 2 so far within one week and plan to make more. The pattern is easy to follow and sews up quickly.

I have made many bathing suits in the last few years and the instructions on this pattern are the best by far. I love how you construct the straps. I made my first one with some leftover scrap swimwear fabric I had from a suit I made a couple of years ago and it turned out great. The only thing I changed a little on the second one I made was the bottoms. I wanted a little more coverage in the back and not such a wide waist band so I went with a narrower elastic for the waistband, 3/8 inch, and added coverage to the rear part of the bottom by using an older pattern I had that I like.
I would recommend this pattern to anyone who wants to start making swimwear - the pattern has lots of details on construction. I do think you would want to be familiar with sewing knits and stretchy fabrics . I would classify this pattern as an intermediate level sewing pattern.

Great bikini bottoms

I have not made the top yet but I can definitely vouch for the bikini bottoms in this pattern. I made two pairs for my 10 year old to wear with the cropped rash guard. She gets many compliments on them and they look amazing. The gathered sides add such a cool touch and I loved using coordinating fabrics for a custom look.
