This is my second Jalie figure skating dress. It was easier to sew than the first one because I was already familiar with many of the steps.
I chose the version with two layers of chiffon for the skirt, which gives the dress a very light and elegant look.
I struggled quite a bit with the instructions shown in Figures 7, 9, and 23. I followed the instructions in English and noticed that the French version was more detailed and, in some ways, clearer.
After spending quite a bit of time rereading the instructions and experimenting, I eventually found an interpretation that worked. The finished dress turned out lovely and fits perfectly. I will add rhinestones later.
Would I sew it again? Yes — now that I better understand those steps, I think it would go much faster the next time.
