Collar and zipper time consuming

Mashing this pattern with 2802 to make a skating top. Was surprised a cycling top
Isn’t more close fitting. It’s actually very similar to the bodysuit 2802.

Because I do want the top to be slim fitting I have sized down 2 sizes and increased body length to where I need it to be. Reshaped the Sleeve and added finger loops.

I haven’t enjoyed the zipper. Ripped it out 4 times. Still not happy with it but it looks satisfactory. Followed the instructions but the clip at the end of the zipper didn’t go well. Partly choice of fabric partly the way I made the snip partly the instructions. After the event searched up YouTube. If I had Stabilised the whole area of the zip with a a fusible interfacing it would have be a lot easier.

Will probably make this top again and learn from this first attempt

Great cycling jersey

I liked the pattern. Zipper instructions were very detailed and helpful. I didn’t like the way the collar went on - I’ll do it a little differently next time. Sizing was excellent. Hem - they seemed to suggest a blind hem stitch but instructions were inadequate unless you’ve done it before. The fabric I chose was tricky ( a light mesh for the sides and sleeves) but in the end, it turned out great. I’m going to make another! (Photo not hemmed yet)
