Zip-Front Jacket and Hoodie
- Front pockets in the princess seam
- Self-fabric cuffs and hem bands
- Very versatile design
- In a stretch fleece, it makes a warm outerwear jacket (contact Discovery Trekking for technical fleece recommendations!)
- In a comfy sweatshirt fleece (make sure it has some stretch), it makes a wonderful everyday hoodie for you or your kids
It is a great pattern for color blocking that has been amongst our best-selling patterns since day 1!
The straight sides make it a great pattern for boys and men too. Simply lengthen the bodice and sleeves to make a fitted track jacket for someone taller than 5'6''.

And it looks fabulous! I love this pattern and will be making up another for myself and 2 other family members!
Used this pattern as the starting point for a hoodie to take to Iceland. Modded because you need zipped pockets and maybe a phone and card pocket. I don’t like cuffs and waistband compared to fold over elastic finish like serious gear. The hood design makes for a good fit but I don’t like the way that it is grafted onto a collar rather than a separate draft. It doesn’t lie properly when not upon my head. So, the pattern was a great starting point but I made so many mods and would make more next time.
I find that the sizing chart based on bust measurement doesn't work at all for this hoodie. According to measurement chart, I would be a Size N. But when I looked at the length of the sleeve pieces, I decided to go with Size P. My final product was still too small (both overall and in sleeve length) since I couldn't accurately estimate the proper size due to the multi-paneled design of the sleeve. I should have made a Size R for myself. Including sleeve lengths with the patterns would be incredibly helpful.
Otherwise, the pattern is nice and the instructions were fairly clear. It was my first go using any Jalie pattern and I'll definitely try again in the future.
The pattern itself is nice, but I am disappointed with it overall. I can't even begin to write a review, I don't know where to start ...
This pattern was really easy to work with. I made a number of changes to customize it exactly how I wanted for the fabric that I had.
