so good I made it twice
I made this first time using a tartan fleece material for my husband. He didn't want the hood so I omitted this and he loves his jacket, kept him warm and cosy through the winter. I made one for myself in grey fleece, with a hood, and it is my go to jacket. I love it. I would not change anything about the pattern, easy to sew and material and zips are easy to get in most countries. Europe lacks some specific notions so I was happy to be able to sew this without hunting down some obscure item.

For a professional result
I loved this pattern. There were quite a few steps and a lot of topstitching so it took a bit longer than some...but it was worth it. Nothing was particularly difficult, although I did have trouble with the welt pockets. I might just need more practice, but I also found the instructions a little confusing. They came out a little lumpy, but nothing my steam iron could not correct. When I was done, hubby said it looked like a professional garment, which was lovely to hear! And the fit was perfect, as it usually is with Jalie!

Zipper instructions lacking
My only complaint is the instructions for attaching the zipper. Instructions tell you to pin it but don’t tell you how to sew it on.

My Sieter Loves Jacket
My sister is plus sized, so made her jacket out of nice fashion fabric. She loves it and people are always asking her where she bought it. Easy to sew and number two is in the works. Thanks again for such a quality pattern.

Excellent...well worth the investment.
My second Jalie project and I had the same experience...the pattern was an absolute pleasure to make. knowing that Jalie patterns fit and work has given me confidence in sewing and joy, knowing that what is on the model is what I will end up with.

More new patterns, please :-)

Thank you Jalie!

Awesome Pattern
I have made 2 of these jackets for young girls. I made both with bubble fleece and contrasting cuffs and hood band and I am so very happy with the way they turned out - and the kids are thrilled with them. The finished jacket is so polished with the topstitching, and the multi panel construction (rather than just a front and back). It does seem to be fairly slim fitting. I'm not much of a seamstress, but this pattern was very straightforward and no one will know your jacket is homemade!

great 4-H project
My daughter (11yrs) just used this pattern to make herself a hoodie for 4-H. It was very easy to follow and the fit and finished look was fabulous. Looking forward to trying more Jalie patterns.

Great pattern!
My daughter and I recently made this hoodie. Her friends couldn't believe that we made it. The sizing was spot on, and the directions were easy to follow. I have 2 more in the works!

Made this pattern for my little princess and it fit perfectly. Another great success with a Jalie pattern.

My favorite Hoodie
I have made this sweatshirt for myself twice and LOVE it. It has such great RTW (ready-to-wear) details and doesn't look homesewn at all. When people find out I've made my sweatshirt, they are absolutely amazed. I wore it to a sewing retreat and got so many compliments so I hope Jalie sold quite a few after that because it's really a fantastic pattern

Favourite among the girls
I have made atleast 4 jackets and 2 hoodies already. It is simple and easy to make. The fit is perfect everytime. I have a few requests from my daughter's friends so I will be making some more. Very pleased with the results. The only challenge I have faced is if you use a fairly thick fleece - then the seams get a little bulky and the zipper is harder to attach.

Loved it!
Fit was true to size, did not have to make any other adjustments. It does leave the seams unfinished on the inside, so if i didn't have a Serger I might not have been as happy with the final results. Loved the details and all finishing touches and have made it twice already.
