great pattern, but pocket is brutal
I am on my 5th pair (at least) of these shorts and can't complain too much, except for the pocket instructions. They make absolutely no sense. Please expand the illustration and clarify the layering process. I left the pockets out for my kids but my husband really wants the pocket so I am trying to sort it out but it has me baffled.

Cute shorts
I made these for myself from flowered nylon fabric. They turned out great. Will make again soon.

A winner
I've made 5 pair of these now for my 18 and 21 year old sons. They love them, and the modification I made was side patch pockets for their 'tech' gear. I love all the ready to wear details!

My 6'7 grandson thinks I am wonderful for making his shirts the last 3 years, but the instructions are not the best. And would love a pattern without the panels. I have tried too redo but don't fit as well.

Great Pattern and Great fit!
I've made these board shorts about 5 times now for my husband and 2 sons. I'm currently 'refitting' them for my teen daughter. They go together great with lots of nice ready to wear details (like topstitching) I did find that the eyelets used at the tie closure pulled through the nylon type fabric eventually but have since solved this by making buttonholes instead!

Difficult Instructions
After adjusting for my 6'6" grandson they fit great. However, the instructions were very difficult to follow.
would like another pattern without the panels.
