Erin This one is a winner. I have sewn a lot of winter parkas over the last few years. My family is full of good sports who have field tested home made parkas of all kinds. This one is the hands down favourite! I made three of these recently with a quilted nylon insulation/lining and polar fleece lining the collar and zipper placket. A couple of them I also added a layer of Insulbrite. I used windproof/water resistant outer fabric.
The instructions are clear and the fit is perfect.
