Très jolie! Nice style, good fit per sizing recommended, instructions were clear enough though the print was a bit small. This is the closest thing I've found to a very pricey TYR or Speedo suit. Will make again for sure.
I lined the back, center back seams enclosed vs interlining like the front. I'll probably line the back band next time too to tighten it up a smidge. Recommend distributing leg elastic tension differently than by quarters. I needed more tension under my bum so it stays put better, less in front of my leg and groin.
I have made several swimsuits as shop bought swimsuits never fit me because I am tall. This pattern fitted me very well and is easy to put on. I adapted it a little by adding a support shelf as I need bust support
I love Jalie patterns as they look professional when made up. Not for beginners though. Think the sewing equivalent of a Bake Off technical. If you read it carefully you will make it in the end
What a great pattern. This swimsuit comes together quickly, and is easy to use the layers to grade from one size to another. The best part is that the seamlines allow you to play with different fabric patterns to create a slimming silhouette.
I have been doing this pattern for years. My daughter has been in diving and swimming. So she needed a swim suit that would hold. It is comfortable, sizes are accurate and it is easy to make.
Sewn quickly, perfect fir for a little girl, love the seam setting
