I love jalie patterns! I used this one to make such cute leotards!
The dress went together easily even though I chose to do lace over lycra. The measurements were true to size and the dress fit beautifully even though my skater is away at college and was unable to try it on during the sewing process. The sash drapes beautifully and the crisscross halter fit so well that there was no gap and it did not need to be stitched in place. Can't wait to make this dress again! I do agree that the panties were cut a bit small.
I am new to sewing and found this dress to be easy to construct! It went together nicely and looks great on my daughter. The only complaint I have are the panties! They fit a little small. My daughter is petite and the panties are still on the small side for her. Other then that, I found this pattern easy to understand and the end result was great!
I have used this pattern several times with a variety of alterations. Looks great even on slightly larger dancers. I have even substituted booty shorts for the briefs successfully!
I have used this pattern several times and modified the front to have crossover and also a plain halter iwthout the crossover. The only modification I had to make was for the panties - they are not made for full bodies. Otherwise, works beautifully.
