Very happy

The unitard was very easy and very quick to make. I added some length to the sleeves and to the bottom as well. I made size 152 for our 152 cm tall dancer and it fits her like a glove but she is very very skinny. The recommended 70 % stretch fabric is a minimum, it would not work with a less stretchy fabric. And I struggled a bit with the crotch section because there is a sharp angle in the crotch on the front panel. Next time I may try to make a curve instead.

I will definitely be sewing this unitard again in larger sizes.

like the top, not the bottom half

I made this for an adult aerial hammock performer. Like other Jalie leotard patterns, I made this one a size bigger than instructed. My friend was pleased with the fit of the top, with the raglan sleeves nicely accommodating her muscular shoulders. The neckline was attractive and stayed in place with a wide range of movement. What she did not like was the lower half. When sewing, it seemed that the crotch seams met oddly forward compared to other Jalie unitards I have made. It also came to a point (which was hard to distinguish when cutting on the fold) rather than a slight curve on the front piece like the others I have from Jalie. When worn, my friend was self conscious about the way looked in this area. I probably will not make this again for that reason, although I may use the raglan sleeves and put them on a different bottom half.

Loved it - great result

The instructions are fairly basic - but then the pattern is quite simple. It looks dramatic on stage and sews up incredibly quickly.
