Even works well with knit fabric

I made this in the largest size for myself and it came out wonderfully. I started with a muslin in some left over four way knit fabric. Obviously because of my choice in fabric , I had to make some alterations. I added some pleats to the neck before binding and took in some excess in the side panels. I had to shorten the neckband as well… again I intentionally used incorrect tissue. The results are fabulous. I won’t post a picture because my particular knit is a bunch of hot dogs on hot dog buns…. So a bit distracting … but now it’s on to making again with fancy work appropriate tissue.

A beautiful, flattering shirt!

I'm really happy with how my shirt looks! It did take more time than I thought it would - and I also had to unpick a couple of times where I had skipped a step. So definitely pay attention to the steps, as the Jalie construction order is the best one to use!!

The only thing I found though is that the tunic length is shorter than what I would ordinarily use for a tunic, so you may wish to measure the pattern piece before you sew, just to be sure you are happy with that length.

More details are on my blog!
