This pattern is great. I added an inch to the height of the waist. Otherwise, perfect. These shorts look good with a swim top or with a tshirt. They provide enough coverage for wandering about town and are comfortable for swimming.

Jalie patterns sizes are always a perfect fit.

I love these swim shorts! Haven't had a chance to try them out in the water yet, but on land they are super comfortable and cute. I lengthened the waist band a bit to get the band closer to my waist- personal preference. Love the built-in brief, pocket, and elastic construction for the waist.

I don’t understand why every Jalie pattern has built in underwear that is designed to be a wedgie in the making. I have a smaller than average butt and I still can’t get the undergarment to fully cover me. It’s ridiculous, especially in a skating outfit. Please stop designing athletic wear with built-in underwear that goes right up the wearer’s crack. It would also be useful to have the finished garment measurements for fitting purposes.

I made these swim shorts for my sister who wanted more coverage than a traditional bathing suit. She was delighted with them-full pantie inside, pockets, wide waistband. I adjusted the body length so they hit at her natural waist so lots of measuring, cutting, and pasting. Perfection! Highly recommended.
