I made the hoodie version using a french terry I purchased from Style Maker fabrics. As the instruction says, the hood should be cut in 2 pieces, so that means that it will be self-lined. When I finished the garment, it looked good and also fit well. However, because the hood is lined but the body is not, it is heavier than the body of the shirt. The hood pulls back the front of the shirt and raises the bottom of the front of the shirt so that it hangs and does not look nice. I have to keep on pulling it down and fixing the hood. I'm thinking now how to fix it permanently so that I'm not constantly fiddling with it. Should I maybe line the front of the garment to balance the weight, or should I afix the hood to the shoulder or collar bone area (with buttons or maybe velcro)? The garment looks so nice when its just on the hanger. I wish I knew of a way to fix this "heavy hood"problem.

Have made twice so far. Fits great. Placket tricky. Study directions, and it will work out just as pictured. The fit is great. No adjustment needed that I can recall. I use heavy sweater knit, but have at home a lighter sweater fabric, and will use that, and adjust accordingly, for my next project. I saw the finished product at Patternreview.com, and I knew I had to have it. I make it with a hoodie.

I bought this pattern so I could make my daughter and I matching hoodies. I love it!! I did some with knits and some with French Terry. Very easy to follow and great top!!
