I find that the sizing chart based on bust measurement doesn't work at all for this hoodie. According to measurement chart, I would be a Size N. But when I looked at the length of the sleeve pieces, I decided to go with Size P. My final product was still too small (both overall and in sleeve length) since I couldn't accurately estimate the proper size due to the multi-paneled design of the sleeve. I should have made a Size R for myself. Including sleeve lengths with the patterns would be incredibly helpful.
Otherwise, the pattern is nice and the instructions were fairly clear. It was my first go using any Jalie pattern and I'll definitely try again in the future.
The pattern itself is nice, but I am disappointed with it overall. I can't even begin to write a review, I don't know where to start ...
This pattern was really easy to work with. I made a number of changes to customize it exactly how I wanted for the fabric that I had.
This is my second zippered top. The first one is my go-to sweatshirt and is falling into pieces because of the amount of wear. I had to make a new one and love this one EVEN MORE!
My second time making this pattern now and I just LOVE the results! I made this one up for ME in Discovery Trekking Outfitters Polartec Power Stretch. This fabric is smooth on the outside and warm and cozy on the inside. The pattern is fairly straight forward to sew - it is just a little time consuming to cut everything out and stitch every little piece together. Having a dedicated coverstitch machine helps to speed up the process though! This is now my go-to sweater/jacket!
