beautiful freestyle dress, with many possibilities to customize it

Second time making this pattern. But this time I bought it as a pdf as was not in the mood for the tracing. I added sleeves from the Tessa pattern and used the fuller half circle back skirt.

The neck elastic length is incorrect (too long) on the website but is correct on the pattern print out. I don’t agree with finishing the elastic and then sewing the back seam. Instead I insert elastic, sew the back seam and then top stitch the elastic.
The illusion front is easy to do and looks effective.

Ive made this as a skating dress for my 7 yr old, and with a long skirt and spooky fabric to be a vampire for Halloween... And as a skating mom of 3... I've made it for myself for 2 skating costumes. I lengthened the skirt, and added sleeves - but it was flattering on my size 12, post baby self.., Impressive!
