ANNE-MARIE Dress / Video tutorial

Wow people on the tennis court with a stunning dress you made yourself. The Anne-Marie has a roomy back pocket that can hold up to three tennis balls. No more weird bulges under your skirt or stretching the hem of your shorts!

The dress features a built-in bra and a clean, soft finish at the neckline and armhole to minimize chafing. To achieve this, we use a construction technique that you will see in detail in the video.

You can make the Anne-Marie as a sporty, mid-thigh dress or as a top, with or without peplum effect. The choice is yours :) You can use easy-to-find knits like ITY or cotton-spandex jersey or indulge in buttery soft athletic fabric for a high-end sportswear result. Pair the dress or top with the Clara (wide waistband), Stella (quickest make) or Cora Shorts (more compression and a hem band) for the perfect outfit in which you will feel confident.

Did you know? This sporty dress pattern was used by one of the contestants on the British Sewing Bee show (Season 6, Episode 4, both Ali and Clare used the Anne-Marie pattern! It was quite an honour to see our pattern featured and modelled :)
