I’ve made jeans from this pattern multiple times and there are more in my future. My jeans have sold lots of this Jalie pattern :)
These jeans are beautiful. I have made several pairs. I still get confused with the fly, but I find it helps if I wear a pair while I am sewing another pair and just look down for hints. I love the pockets. I do reduce the flare a bit to a straight leg and that is an easy adjustment. The fit is amazing and once I found this pattern and the Eleonore pattern I was able to achieve my goal of sewing all my own clothes.
This has to be the best fitting, best written, and best illustrated jeans pattern out there! I have made these several times for me and my twin girls. I have even made them as shorts!
These came together easily (lots of detail, just need to take your time) and look just like my expensive ready-to wear. I literally cannot see a difference in the fit ( the high rise is really a high rise, which is actually very difficult to find in RTW these days). I made the leg straighter (same as Eleonore leg). I will absolutely making more of these and I am thrilled to have such a great pattern in my library.
Made these jeans after holding onto the fabric and pattern for a few years. I have no idea why I waited so long! For any pants I make I add 2" to the rise so I did that with these and made a sloper out of cotton gingham. I assumed that if the cotton was really tight then my stretch denim jeans should be just about right but they are about 2 sizes too big, still wearable. I'll be making another pair again soon!
