I've made many. many, many of these tops and bottoms. With these options, your bikini dreams are pretty much limitless.
I was really pleased with how the bikini top turned out and made 2 versions. The bottoms I tried were too low rise for me so I had to use a different pattern, but I maybe I could have tried the boy shorts. I didn't find the instructions great, but as it is quite a simple pattern it wasn't too much of an issue.
I have sewn this swimsuit so many times and it's always a home run. I think I've made the bikini top no less than five times and it comes out great each time. I also love the "boy-short" bottom because my 43-year-old bum needs more coverage than less!
I sewed two bikinis each for my daughter (10 years) and myself. The bottoms tend to be very small and I had to go up two sizes for my daughter's bottom compared to the sizing chart, and also add the contrast band from view B to the view A bottom to make it high enough. But after that, she loved her bikinis and found them comfortable. I, on the other hand, found them to not give any support at all to the top and I found that my breasts kept popping out, even when I tried overlapping the top pieces more. So I recommend this pattern to any girl or woman with no or a very small chest, but if your chest is anything more than that, look for another pattern.
